StoneCrests First Baby Returns to Welcome a Baby Sister
January 20, 2010 Zoey Delancey is a six year old with a unique connection to StoneCrest Medical Center. Zoey was the first baby delivered at Stonecrest on December 1st, 2003. Albert Fox, M.D. delivered Zoey and also delivered Zoeys new baby sister, Erin Underwood, on January 15th, 2010. It was exciting to be a part of the landmark delivery at StoneCrest on the day the facility opened, said Dr. Albert Fox.
Proud mother, Ashley Delancey, described Zoeys extensive scrapbook consisting of television news footage of her birth. When Zoey was asked if the media coverage makes her feel like a celebrity, she responded no, I just feel like a big sister. Ashley continues to take Zoey for occasional visits to the maternity floor and provides nursing staff with birthday photos. Angela Morgan, maternity services director, said I recall the day Ashley arrived for delivery since she was not only the first maternity patient at StoneCrest, but also the facilitys first admission. The nursing staff was delighted to hear the first lullaby tune sound overhead when Zoey was born, said Morgan. The lullaby tune sounds throughout the facility each time a baby is born.
